Good Life Quotes Are Motivating and All Around Us

What is it about a good quote that we like so much? Is it not that good life quotes strike a resonating chord of truth within us? They can help us understand ourselves, others, and the world around us. They can often be powerfully simple or strangely complex, yet good life quotes are truly motivating and they are all around us if we take the time to find them.

For example, many good life quotes are found in songs. Try this one on for size:

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."- John Lennon quoting Allen Saunders

This simple statement was sung in the song "Beautiful Boy" and it is so true. While we are trying to plan out our life and what we want to do with it, life is already rushing past us. We need to not be so anxious about the future that is coming, that we deny the joys and beauties of today. It seems that even John Lennon liked a good life quote too.

How about this quote:

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."- Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss certainly had a unique way of expressing things in his books and in his life as well. He was onto something with this quote. Many people are bothered all their life by complex questions such as, "Why are we here?" "What is the purpose of life?" and "What happens to us when we die?" People are sometimes afraid the answers to these questions will be too complicated to understand, so they quit asking them or give up searching for the answer. This leads us to the next quote:

"Keep on seeking, and you will find."- Jesus Christ (Luke 11:9, NWT)

No matter what your religious beliefs are, these are powerful and motivating words that inspire hope. The answers are there. We just have to keep searching for them and never give up. This quote highlights the need to be persistent and diligent, qualities that would benefit anyone.

Here is another good quote:

"It is not the length of life, but the depth."- Ralph Waldo Emerson

This quote is very true, because some people live past one hundred years and yet never really lived if they lived a selfish life. Whereas some who died very young spent their short lives helping and cheering the lives of others. For this, their lives had true meaning, true depth. This is because of the truth of the following quote:

"A purpose of human life... is to love whoever is around to be loved."- Kurt Vonnegut

Mr. Vonnegut is right about this being a purpose of human life. It is not the purpose of life, but is so inextricably intertwined with this purpose, that it is nonetheless essential.

Yes, good life quotes are motivating. They can help us to become better versions of ourselves. And they are all around us. We just have to 'keep seeking' them.

Thank you and May God bless you!
