And in just days you will be the richest person on the face of the planet - well maybe they don't say quite that - but...

Are you nuts I would ask - how in the world would a plan set up like that ever work?
Following a plan like this - you can guarantee one thing is going to happen - you are going to lose all your friends and family - and the person at the counter of the fast food joint is going to run when you come in next time. Maybe in some wild extremes - it does work every now and then - but in most cases - it does not.

Now before I completely turn you off to the idea of it not working - I will tell you that it can work - you just have to go about it differently and it is not instant success.
I will also tell you that the key is - generate your own leads and to have people come to you and ask you about your network marketing business - not track them down like you would something that you are hunting in the woods.
Not a get rich quick magic plan...
Yes - it can work - but - it is not a get rich quick magic plan - it is like any other business if you do it correctly - it takes hard work - and some resources.
Like all other businesses - your network marketing business - needs a product that you believe in - and more importantly - it needs a sound Sales and Marketing Plan.
Develope your own website...
Another key to success is to develop your own website. Yes - many of the network marketing business plans offer a website - but most are cookie cutter versions - and sure to help - only if you lead everyone by the nose to it.

Go with what works!
Now what product do you decide on - well - what are your interests. If you are not a health conscious person don't try to pass yourself off as one by selling health food. On the flip side of that - if you are a health conscious person - it may be the perfect fit.
Second - don't look for the perfect product at the perfect price - in other words - give up the search - it is not going to happen. If the company you decide to go with has a good product at a reasonable price - I would give it serious consideration.
Just like any business - you are going to have to keep track of finances - so - do it yourself - or hire it out. In most cases - in the beginning it will not be cost effective to hire it out - so you may want to go with the system the company supplies - or go with a good computer program. Once you start hitting on all cylinders with your network marketing business - and you sure could - if you go abut it correctly.
Two types of people...
In a network marketing business you are looking for two types of people - a consumer of your products - and entrepreneurs. Without both - you are dead in the water. If you can't sell your product - how in the world can you expect or teach your someone else how to do it? At a minimum - you need to have a product that you will use - which is the best of all worlds. In the current economy - it could be very easy to find real entrepreneurs - someone that has always wanted to step out and take a small risk - and because of circumstances - now has to. But never - never ever - take advantage of anyone. If you see that it is not a good fit for someone - encourage them not to get involved. If they insist - continue to try and discourage them. If they will not listen to you - do your best to help them.
Failed three times...
I will tell you I was an individual that a very long time ago - tried the network marketing business three times - and failed three times. I failed for one very good and obvious reason now - I followed their cookie cutter sales and marketing plan - and I didn't have enough friends and relatives - ha ha. I should have followed the sales and marketing plan I have now. But - I didn't know then - what I know now. Guess I must be getting older - because I seem to be getting smarter.
