We Need Funny Quotes or Sayings in Life
We have to have fun in life. This is a natural part of our well being, and because of this, there have been many funny quotes or sayings made about life. They express how humorous life really is.
Just about any subject out there has a funny quote or saying about it. There are quotes about women, friendship, marriage, and other aspects of life. Here are some of them that I have found and enjoyed:
"Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway."
"Life is like a very long TV show, without a remote control."
Funny-man Woody Allen could have his own book of funny quotes. For example:
"I'm not afraid of death; I just don't want to be there when it happens."
Groucho Marx also is known for his many hilarious one-liners. Take for example:
"I intend to live forever, or die trying."
Here is another good one: "Tell a man there are a trillion stars in the sky and he'll believe you. Then watch that same man pass by a wet paint sign on a wall and he has to touch the wall before he'll believe it is wet."
What makes this one of the funny quotes or sayings in life is that this is how we humans really are. If it is something complex, we automatically believe it. If it is simple, we resist.
I know that you will be able to relate to this one: "The odds of going to the store for a gallon of milk and coming out with only a gallon of milk are four billion to one."
This is one I found and really like. I laughed at it because I am always running in to the store for one item, but rarely leave with only that item.
I found this one hilarious having grown up playing with Barbie dolls:
"If Barbie is so popular, why do we have to buy all her friends and boyfriends?" These are my sentiments exactly.
"Everything is funny as long as it is happening to someone else." - Will Rogers. This one strikes a responsive chord in us because we all like a good laugh, until the laugh is on us. Maybe it can teach us not to take ourselves too seriously.
Here in Panama, I am constantly seeing chickens cross the road, so I could really relate to this quote:
"I dream of a better future...where chickens can cross roads and no one will question their motives."
What makes these funny quotes or sayings actually funny is that we live them. They can tickle us because they are experiences that either we go through or that we see all of the time. I have my own saying I made up for when you have a problem you don't want to face immediately. I say, "We'll beat that dog when it barks." Who knows, maybe I will run across a quote that you yourself have come up with. If so, you have added something funny to someone else's life as well.
Thank you and May God bless you!
