What a wonderful presentation you made last Friday to the Sales Group! It was truly inspirational and was exactly what we all needed to hear.

Although I know you did a tremendous amount of research you made it look so easy as you were able to lay out where we are and where we need to get to next year.

After speaking with Mr. Harrison, our President, he expressed his personal appreciation for the job you did. He was especially impressed with the amount of detail you brought to the group.

Thanks again for a job very well done!

(Date)

(Dear Mr/Ms or To Whom It May Concern:)

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for (name of person you are recommending) who, under my leadership, has served as (position the employee served in) for the past three years.

From the beginning, (employee name) has steadily moved upward in the company. They began as a stock clerk in our department, then soon graduated to warehouse manager.

Throughout their employment with us, they have consistently displayed a remarkable ability to cope not only in high stress situations, but to actually thrive in them. Last year, when notified of a shortened deadline on an important project, they managed their team with confidence and efficiency, despite the time constraints. We were all surprised and grateful when they produced the completed project ahead of schedule.

I am sorry that (name of employee) will soon leave us, but I know that this move is important to them for personal reasons. I give you my highest recommendation with confidence that (name of employee) will use their experience and abilities to serve you well.

Business Letter Example on a Reprimand Letter

Writing a letter of reprimand is perhaps a little different than most business letters. Although it should still be short and to the point it is important to include certain information.

1. Make sure they know what it is, i.e., a letter of reprimand. This insures there are no mistakes about what it represents.

2. Make sure it spells out what they did and any basic evidence to the violation.

3. Make sure it includes how to correct the behavior or what the right behavior looks like.

Make sure the employee signs the letter that they received it, or make sure you have a witness sign it acknowledging that you provided them a copy if they refuse.

(Date)

(Dear Mr/Ms)

(Mr/Ms Name) you are being issued a formal letter of reprimand for excessive use of the telephone for personal business. You acknowledged that you were aware of our company policy at your orientation on March 3, 2008.

Each party has reviewed the above information and agree that the information is accurate.
