Business Books on Leadership - From Good to Great!

If you are looking for a good business books on leadership it is “Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap... and Others Don't”, by Jim Collins.

Collins takes a very close look at companies that went from good to great and sustained it for more than fifteen years.

One of his comments is that “Good is the Enemy of Great” and for a company to go from Good to Great it is an accomplishment. He explains why in his book.

He suggests that running a successful business is like a bus. You get the right people on the bus. Get the wrong people off the bus. Then take the bus in the right direction!

The book will give you great insight to what you might do within your own organization to go from good/average to great/excellent!

Many people today want to be a part of a great organization but few do anything to accomplish it.

I learned a long time during my twelve years in the Marine Corps that excellence can only come from first taking action. As an example if we wanted to become an excellent marksman we first had to learn everything there was about our weapon.

If you want to become a great company you must first learn what a great company is and how it was made.

If you want a great business book on leadership this book is the one to read!
